What Should I pack?
We suggest weather appropriate clothes. Florida’s weather stays pretty mild all year but it is recommended to check the weather forecast before arriving. Even in warmer temperatures you should bring a sweater or jacket. Other recommended items would include comfortable clothes (for biking, paddle boarding, etc.), swimsuit, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner and body soap as well as laundry soap will be provided), a Bible, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and any other items needed for you’re your personal comfort.

Does Serenity Retreats Offer Scholarships?
Although we do not offer direct scholarships, Serenity Retreats is able to receive donations on your behalf from third parties. All funds received on your behalf will be applied directly towards the cost of your retreat with no processing fee. Sponsors often include church fund allocation, foundation donation, or proceeds from a family member or friend. We have learned that when someone with a need is willing to ask their own community for help, amazing things happen! We are a non-profit organization and therefore tax-deductible. We also have a sponsorship letter that we are happy to send on your behalf.

Are Serenity Retreats’ Group Facilitators all Licensed Therapist?
We are thankful to have a few Licensed Therapists on our team, and if that is important to you, we suggest booking your retreat in relation to when the therapist of your choice is leading the retreat. Each of our group facilitators are qualified and have been trained to lead groups under the highly recognized Christian Light University and have the appropriate training hours and certificates. Please note: if you are in immediate crisis, it is recommended to seek licensed professional counseling as a first step before attending a retreat. Our retreats are designed to bring useful life-giving, biblical tools to support your healing journey. One-On-One Intensives will be scheduled only with a licensed therapist.

What Else Do I Need to Know About Attending A Serenity Retreat?
We have learned that the best setting for a meaningful and healing experience comes by committing to disconnect from the routine of our daily lives and make time for quiet, solace and serenity. Wellness is a priority during your stay so while you are attending the retreat so we ask that you abide by our guidelines to maintain a smoke free, alcohol free and media free environment (during sessions). There will be plenty of free time to connect with family, but we highly encourage our guests to take a break from all social media while at the retreat. This gives the opportunity to really engage our thoughts, emotions and time on worthwhile reflections that foster and add to the growth and healing experience while you are away from your daily routine.
